More Americans now use pot on a daily basis than alcohol. A sweeping new report says the federal government needs to better understand the risks to the public and get involved.

Wow, it's official, NPR is total shit. The reasoning behind it's illegality is racism. Just like today, since the Fed can go after anyone with marijuana (regardless if it's legal in the person's state) at THEIR discretion.
There's a risk of overeating, that's definitely problematic. But as long as you don't SMOKE (as in, BURN) the herb, you'll be fine. It's actually impossible to overdose on THC, and if you get close, you'll be unable to take anymore anyway.
Of course. There was a posting just YTDY noting that medical science now knows that cannabis causes developmental problems after birth. R U in America?
Is there a difference in the *why* you consume, or just *what* you consume? Just curious, as for me, I have a beer or two most days because I genuinely like beer. It’s not for a buzz or anything, as I don’t consume enough for that anyway (unless I haven’t eaten much that day yet, maybe).
To be fair, the Biden admin did start the process for rescheduling thc, which would make pharm research a lot easier. I guess they delayed making a decision on it until after the election though?
Has the government gotten involved in alcohol which kills millions around the world in accidents, domestic abuse incidents, health issues that kill, and homelessness.
“Get involved” means the Feds want our $. Most people I know have been smoking on a daily basis for decades now. They just need to get the hell out of our business.
It's just now starting to be available, let alone available everywhere. So I think the best thing they could do right now is deschedule the shit and shut the fuck up.

Cmon NPR. I know you are in part funded by the Conservative Koch Network but even this headline is a stretch to use the term *Risks*
178,000 people die YEARLY from alcohol related deaths
Cannabis use alone caused 110. OVER 12 years. Mostly from car accidents driving Under the Influence
They "got involved" for decades and put a lot of people behind bars for no reason
