There's nothing quite like a tailgate, where fans serve food to strangers who share the same passion. We went to a Philadelphia Eagles tailgate to learn what drives this uniquely American tradition.

You know, this piece is talking about something fun. Something that brings people together.
Everybody needs to blow off steam and just chill and tailgating is a good way to enjoy and get to know people.
If you dont want to watch the game fine, but the fat comments are really uncalled for.
And how are they “focusing on football”? It’s Super Bowl weekend and they wrote an article about the Super Bowl. They also wrote a bunch of articles about other things, including more than one on the topic you’re speaking of.
Oh yeah, I know, they wrote a bunch of stupid articles. Sadly very aware of that.
Why are you fighting with people expressing their opinions? Is this seriously how you’re responding to this historic threat to our entire democracy? Go protest at a tesla dealership or call senators.
Do you honestly believe that all of social media and the news media should talk about absolutely nothing but Trump for the next four years? I see the sentiment and it’s immature and stupid and unrealistic. You’re setting up an unrealistic target for you to be mad and self righteous about, that’s it.
In some countries, they have to separate football fans into different entrances and seating areas because people will physically attack each other and have literal gang wars. Philly has nothing on some random football team in the north of England. We’re talking protestant vs catholic shit.
Our democracy is maybe a few days from obliteration, but tailgates are fun. Anybody who wants to tailgate with me after the fall of democracy, I'm in and I make a *killer* pulled pork.
As you watch the #Superbowl, know who and what you are supporting. #chiefs owner is a big #maga supporter #eagles owner is a huge supporter of #democracy. #nfl #football
Have you ever been to an American Stadium? Some of these parks are like frigging Disneyland when there’s a game going on. What are you talking about “no amenities”? There are a few parks that aren’t so great but a lot of them are pretty amazing. The location comment is completely accurate though.

For heaven’s sake, read the room.
Report on the ongoing COUP.

Opening up sidewalks, driveways and garages to neighbors to make a go of it before the game.
There’s something different and enjoyable about that environment

Um YEAH, America is falling apart because uneducated Americans value entertainment over boring democracy.
Look at other countries protesting in huge numbers. Don’t see that here.
Maybe if people had warned of voter tailgating being banned, it would have resonated more and a lot more people would've been outraged.
You used to have my respect-- no more.
Unless "uniquely American" is China-"Whites Only?"
I'm looking forward to hosting my own exclusive tailgate in the near future.
In the civilised world we have bars and restaurants around our stadia.
Nothing like a motorcycle ride through the National Forest I live in...
