Almost immediately after dictator Bashar al-Assad fled, Syria came under attack. Israeli airstrikes have hit several hundred times since December. Syria's new leaders are starting to speak up.

Hamas doesn't really exist because of Iran, they're just largely backed by Iran and until the latest invasion were also largely backed by the Israeli government. Because Netanyahu found them to be excellent tools to discredit Palestinian self-determination.
But given that Hamas' whole thing is that they won more seats in the Palestinian National Authority than any other party in the election, but not the presidency or enough seats to have unilateral control, they declared it an illegitimate gov and went on a mass murder spree-
yeah, it's generally a good idea not to trust Hamas or propaganda promoting them.
That said, it was a 2017 rewrite of their charter. While the destruction of Israel was always Hamas' big *thing,* in 2017 they rewrote their charter to say they'd settle for a restoration of the 1967 borders of
You can be critical of the Israeli government and still be supportive of Isreal. They're not mutually exclusive. What Hammas did to Isreali was a crime against the Isreali population, but what Netanyahu has done in Gaza is a crime against the Gaza strips population.
Israel's attacks on Syria, a grim reminder of the region's eternal conflict. Is it a flexing of military might, a distraction from domestic woes, or a deliberate attempt to destabilize a nation still reeling from war? Innocent lives lost, and a world that shrugs in silence.
I agree with you. Israel's opportunistic aggression: using chaos as cover to expand its borders. A cynical ploy to create a 'buffer zone' at the expense of Syrian lives and sovereignty. The echoes of '73 and '82 still linger, but the world's attention span is short. Same tactics, new excuses.
It seems that the current leadership of Israel and the many dictatorships and terrorist groups are in some kind of competition to see who can commit the most and worst atrocities. Israel needs to ditch their war criminal PM and try to become a rational, honest voice in their region.
Israel wants more land. The Golan Heights were only the beginning. The Zionists want their Eretz Yisrael and will kill anyone who gets in their way, all the while claiming that "THE HOLOCAUST!" gives them the right to do so....
