There's an essential distinction. MAGA claims that the Jan 6 and Trump prosecutions were political persecutions, while they actually addressed real and very serious crimes. Hunter Biden committed real crimes that no ordinary citizen would be prosecuted for, but Trump would indeed persecute him.

Hunter got special treatment from dad, because he was about to be prosecuted/persecuted by Trump. There are lists of enemies to Trump that he's planning on going after. Biden needs to pardon many more people, esp in DOJ and FBI.
