This is why I love and respect Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. Aloy is one of my favorite female protagonists in all gaming. She's strong, fair, and decisive. I appreciate Guerilla didn't sexualize her. She's like a post apocalyptic Captain Kathryn Janeway.

Ohhh! Neat, I played MUA. And I actually bought Ps5 for Burning shores X”D Tbh don’t regret it, FW was straining on PS4, it was much better on ps5. Just finished Remaster of ZD, found couple awkward bugs, but damn if dialogues don’t look much more natural and environment much more lively ✨

I'm definitely getting the remaster once I get my PS5. I got well over 350 hours into the series. What version of MUA did you play? I designed the motion controls for Wii and implemented the AI for many of the NPCs on 2 for PS3 and 360.

The vast majority of games have humans or some variant thereof as characters. Walk around in any town or city IRL and you’re almost guaranteed to see people of every race, gender, and orientation. I'll never understand why some players think it's only interesting to see their own experience/gender/history/etc. reflected in the character they play. I am a father and I was playing Horizon Zero Dawn when my 6yo daughter came into the room. Her eyes got big and lit up. She asked excitedly “Daddy is that a GIRL you are playing?!?!” I said “Of course dear. Girls are the best, you know that.” She watched captivated with a huge smile as I played.
