Itβs technically both. Although his armor is a specific metal that both makes it a pretty heavy bulk but also much sturdier, the truth is I just like rendering armor this way lol
They went into a place where theyβre technically wanted for treason, so he put his helmet on to conceal his identity (the hair really gives him away), but then some emotional turmoil took place and now the helmet is feeling like a necessary barrier between him and people. Armor all over.
Thinking about when I tried to make an artistic depiction of Raine in the fallen angel pose, and the people whoβd only seen this art of him think this is how he dresses. Meanwhile the reality in game is more like the art with the helmet, heβs all covered up all the time lmao
Itβs complicated cause the story/campaign has been going on for over three years so a lot of paths shifted, but his initial vengeance was over the people who killed his sister and the only family he had left
