There are too many flaws in the system. Bought free press; flawed electoral system; poor public services (health and education – for more than a generation!); unlimited lobbying (bribery); justice system (who appoints judges?); anti-trust policies… to name a few. Odd? This is the result.

Many countries have fixed these problems. You need the will to fix them; the savvy to write good legislation; the ability to explain it to your citizens; their ability to understand it (chuckle), and the political capital to get it approved. It’s not rocket science.
