If writing is not the byproduct of a human's intentional writing process, then what the hell are we doing? What happens is the reader tunes completely out because there's no person there. And it even happens if you *suspect* there's no person there. And if you purport to be all there, but it turns out you're not, then the reader will hate you forever.

Yes, exactly. Everything becomes suspected slop and we lose the capacity to read and write in ways that reflect genuine human expression and unique capacities. School already has done so much damage to those things, that AI is here to just finish the job. It's bleak, but I'm still fighting back!
