I’m usually not a numbers guy, but seeing comments bigging up “small channels” which I later find have tens of thousands of subscribers each, is slowly gnawing at my motivation.

I think that's down to how inflated numbers on platforms are now that so some 10k is small but when you step back that's still bigger than a solid majority of creators on this planet so keep your chin up mate <3
