Seeing an online ad shouldn’t mean surrendering your data to thousands of companies you’ve never heard of. It’s time to end online behavioral advertising and the mass surveillance it enables.

Anybody else find it weird that the only way to keep ~90% of the Internet running is by shoving crap into people's faces that they didn't ask to see/hear and don't need in the first place (as evidenced from the fact they aren't Googling said product), all at the expense of the site's usability?
Remember when there was only ONE streaming service? And you didn't have to compromise between several, equally-expensive platforms whose content can disappear on a CEO's random whims?
Well, I don't. I never moved on from physical media (and, uh, Soulseek… *cough*)
Marketing geniuses (not) used to refer to the Internet as TV with a BuyNow button. Now it's psychological manipulation to get people to buy a ton of crap they don't need. Screw all the MBA's trying to squeeze every last dime out of gullible users!
