I stopped using it due to recommendations that uBlock Origin was better (PB doesn't block ads) … and running them side by side could crate conflicts that actually make my browser easier to track.
Hi, using privacy badger since years and I love it! Now I would like to know if it is redondant with other plug-ins like ublock origin or agduard, or is it relevant to use PB with one of those?
From what I've read, uBlock Origin does everything PB does, and then some. Running both together could create conflicts that reduce effectiveness. PB used to have different automated detect/block code but it was disabled when researchers discovered it actually made browsers easier to fingerprint.
Last I read they used different techniques and libraries. I've been running both since Ublock updated their processes years ago. Guess I need to dig into this again.
Same. I only started digging into it with the Chrome update (Manifest v3) that breaks compatibility with uBlock Origin, and had to switch to the lite version. Privacy Badger is still the best option if you don't also want/need ad blocking.
Privacy Badger should be able to block trackers that uBlock can't see, because of how it works.
On the other hand, uBlock blocks more ads — PB isn't an adblocker (although it blocks many of them).
Just to be clear on the scope. How many other organizations do you deem irresponsible for not recommend alternatives to their product in the post where they are promoting their product?

'cause what they really want, is for you to turn off tracking protection.
