Honestly starting to wonder if moving to another country is going to be necessary. It sounds extreme but it’s so hard to know what’s an overreaction and what’s just good sense. Having a Plan B seems wise, though.

Id love to hear what you learn. I originally wanted to move to NZ 25 years ago and found out how hard this concept is. Most countries dont want me. Unless youre in software or a medical specialist, they probably dont need your skills. Other places are also dealing with nationalistic alt right govs
(Like italy, for example). And having a diagnosis like adhd can make you 'disabled' and unqualified for immigration. So unless youre independently wealthy, or living off of retirement, the only option i can find is getting an american remote job and a digital nomad visa....
I know some countries that are friendly to expats (Portugal and Thailand come to mind) but I’m not sure how the visa situation works in those places. All I know so far is that if I had dual citizenship, I’d be out of here.
Honestly I haven’t looked into logistics at all, but I will start and will share what I find. I work remotely for a global company so it’s possible I could move and keep my job, which might make things easier, but I really don’t know yet.
