I spent my youth getting close with friends and then just them ghosting or declaring they weren’t my friend one day because I was “too annoying”

I found my tribe gradually. They’re all lovely. 🥰

I’m actually starting to dislike them in general. I don’t have the energy for hate. I am avoiding them lately though. In my 60’s I’ve pretty much lost my filters and ability to mask. They don’t like me anyway at a visceral subliminal level.

I’m about to turn 59 and I totally understand what you are saying. Unfortunately for me living in a tiny rural town, I don’t actually know any other neurodivergent people so it’s NT’s or nothing. A lot of the time it’s been nothing. 😜

I live in my RV and travel full time. It’s not just small towns. Since the election, it’s nothing for me too. I dropped every MAGA in my circle including family. So here I am fulfilling the basic needs for socializing on Bluesky. I wish it was easier to befriend ND’s in real life. Then again, people

When my ex husband walked out on me my original plan was to live FT in my RV. my dog was so terrified of it I decided to stay put instead. In hindsight it was the better choice for me. I needed that stability. I’m in Australia, my ex moved back to the US. I could never live there. Especially now.

Someone who has a mental disorder can still mistreat someone else because of their differences.

i think neurotypical people see the world in limited "colors" and think those are the only "colors"in the world. I feel like i have too many"colors" to work with at times because of how overwhelmed i can get just in a grocery store. Fuck that probably only makes sense to me. nevermind

I am on a fair few autistic groups and there is a knee jerk against NTs especially with all the memes making traits one thing or the other. Drives me crazy - I am like: no, those are just jerks 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Damn, this is what drove me into being a hermit. And I'm FINALLY just figuring out I have autism in addition to ADHD, learning disorders, major sensory issues. I just cannot make it *in society*. Plus I dunno anyone
