Honestly...I believe it goes back 50 to 100 years ago, to a time when "autism" was synonymous with Downs Syndrome... with children who "looked different and behaved differently." ...before being Autusm could be diagnosed properly and understood. When I grew up in the 1950's and 1960's... 1/2
These children were sent from their families to State Mental Hospitals. No one further diagnosed them...no one attempted to teach or discover their strengths.
I'm glad that World is gone. And yes, it's time for the stereotypes to go also!

“a strong sense of justice” like okay as if that is bad. It creates friction or disagreements, but so do many lawful good traits.
If you do, you gain entree to a whole new world of human beings you didn't understand before.
NTs are uniformly ignorant about NDs. It's just not on the agenda, even less than multilingualism.
