Question of the Week: Is there a song you associate strongly with a specific videogame - whether because of its themes or a specific memory of playing them together - even thought it isn't actually connected to that game?

This's for my fellow Dark Wizard fan Cbake! I used to listen to Alt rock radio while playing Sega so in Dark Wizard when the bone bridge forms and you can reach the last levels will always be to "Lightning Crashes" by Live.
Also "Champagne Supernova" is the real Phantasy Star 4 ending
QotW: not a song but an album. While I was replaying Death Stranding I had heard about a concept album by William Shatner, Seeking Major Tom. I thought it would be funny to listen to and did so while trekking the snowy mountains in DS. The album looped multiple times. It was a spiritual experience
Played a huge amount of Athlete Kings on the Saturn with my then housemate, very high and listening to Lou Reed. Satellite of Love whilst doing the pole vault was quite appropriate.
QotW: I strongly associate Frog's Theme from Chrono Trigger with Everquest.
I was playing Everquest the first time I learned to run an MP3 player in the background, and I remember playing Frog's Theme as I would run around the Eastern Commonlands for hours. It made the game feel 10x more epic.
Quick QOTW addendum: include a YouTube or other link (preferably cued up to, or with a timestamp for, the part you think is most relevant), and we’ll turn it into a little listening party.
QoTW: Powerman 5000's song Murder and Assassin's Creed. We're all familiar with PM5Ks retro-space butt-rock, but this follow-up album was more standard rock. I remember it playing on my stereo in the background while perched on top of buildings and diving onto templars. https://youtu.be/YFJQtYvW5X8?t=33
To me it was “Shotgun Blues” by Guns N’ Roses as we played the shit out of Road Rash on PC, since it had an awesome soundtrack with Soundgarden and Monster Magnet in the menus, but crappy MIDI tracks on the races, so we needed something to get the blood pumping! https://youtu.be/s2k9qaOdsGU?si=EFa76NHdZOHLp2W5
After many hours in TOTK tracking down all the lightroots in the depths, I decided to fill the empty sound with what seemed to be the most natural fit for the eerie cavernous atmosphere - bling era hip hop. I would also start with the same song whenever I dove down a chasm,
You’ll likely get a lot of “THPS” answers. With all due respect to Anthony Hawk, grand sire to royalty, I had parents who didn’t particularly like spending full price on games. So my ‘thps at home’ is “Grind Session” and the track is: https://youtu.be/3QnVOibhJIc?si=Lba1XDjIUNoJzfP9 this is a song I still skate to today.
For me the song Spaceman by the Killers always makes me remember a crucible match in Destiny 2 where it got a on a roll taking capturing points n dropping fools, culminating with a blind super throw killing the last guy on the other team in midair for a team kill https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc16Y9fiCvQ
Not a song, but a phrase. In the NES game Track & Field 2, they had a freestyle swimming section. For some reason, the electronic sound of swimming sounded like someone saying “Hillary’s Fine” over and over again.
I have not played the game since I was a kid, but still to this day, I cannot go swimming without saying “Hillary’s Fine. Hillary’s Fine. Hillary’s Fine.” to keep my rhythm.
When I was a kid, my sisters got a karaoke machine thing that they put in the basement living room. That's also where my Xbox was and where I played a TON of Battlefront 2 (the OG). So now I heavily associate the ABBA Gold album with Battlefront 2. Specifically the sound effects for some reason.
QotW: I remember we had the our PC set up in The Computer Room in the early 90s, my brother and I would play things like Legend of Kyrandia and Quest for Glory while playing our parents' Cream and Travelling Wilburys tapes on the stereo. Kids these days have no idea of how immaculate the vibes were.
No YouTube link (thanks mobile) but How Far We’ve Come by Matchbox Twenty always makes me thinks of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare (2007) since I was rocking that album at the time of game release, but the “end of the world” vibe made sense with the game theme too

Mmm Mmm Mmm. Reminds me of playing Super Metroid. Listened to whole cd a lot in 94.
