I'm not a diplomat but everyone thought I would be one. I'm about all of that except I don't know anything about rugby. I would like to be a friend and maybe learn how to be a diplomat from you?
Hm...daughter/wife of UK diplomats, read international relations at redbrick Sussex university in the late 1960s, love early music, but wd be hopeless at rugby judging from my performance at lacrosse. Author of books on Delhi, Calcutta & Dar. Will I do as a follower?

Ooh very nice. Have you discovered Barbara Strozzi? She’s an incredible character as well as writing stunning music. A bit younger than Monteverdi and worked in Venice.
Hi Arthur, I don't share all of your interests but I am a former diplomat too and I see that we were posted to similar places in our careers (my time spanned from '84 to 2013). I spent time on the Iraq desk in the 90s. I hope you're enjoying life post FC(D)O.
