There's a coven of witches somewhere nearby trying to remove Chicago from this terrible timeline into its own hidden and free world. They just made one mistake. They forgot to measure the Sears tower first.
I love that building…. We use it as an example of triangular support structures in tower construction in our middle school CTE class and I love being able to say that’s my hometown goto
Got stuck once in the Hancock elevators somewhere around the 50th floor. Had to hop over the gap to a new elevator car they brought up alongside. You could see WAYYY down.
Also, I remember a policeman stopping me and my wife as I was about to go down the stairs to the subway, carrying 2 suitcases to get to O'Hare. He said it s not safe and flagged down a yellow taxi!!! I was terrified!
Visited Chicago for 3 days 30 yrs ago. We have the John Hancock Museum in Newcastle Upon Tyne,UK ...doubt they re linked. It was minus 18*C when I visited. Key memory? Black lady and 2 kids in a bus stop with snow 6 feet up the sides. Also, a shoeshiner and plastic bin drummer!
I'm conditioned to look for negatives, and love a good super villain lair. I mean come on. Red lights, dark exterior, a heavy mist floating around the midsection. That image screams final boss
Also, consider the fact that it's a skyscraper towering over other skyscrapers, a looming testament of excess capitalism. What else could live in such a tower but a villain?

It'd be a great painting. Bob Ross would do that justice.
I love seeing photos of my hometown. It brings back a flood of emotions.
