sporadically remembering that moment where trump shouts “you don’t have any cards to play” and zelenskyy shrugs and goes “i’m not playing cards, i’m serious.” incredibly funny.

The calling it a costume, saying he'd wear it once the war was over, maybe it would be nicer but also maybe cheaper. All good subtle attacks, loved every bit of it.
How?
Just, how? How can anyone bankrupt a casino?
I'd love to think there's a good story to be told there, but considering the characters it's probably boring and racist.
Nothing will ever be funnier than actual adult human being & for real Vice President of the United Fucking States holding his little fingers up in the shape of a phone to tell the leader of a nation at war that he’s seen the truth SECONDS after being called on his aborted lie about going there.
Also when Trump said that if Ukraine didn't have US weapons, the war would have been over in "-Two days, yes, I heard the same from Putin." Highlighting that Trump is being spoonfed all his info from Putin. A quick and subtle jab, impressive if it had been intentional.
you can interpret it to be zelenskyy misunderstood the figure of speech, which still makes it funny, or that he understood and chose to be pedantic, which also is funny.
I think he was just refusing to use silly analogies about games to avoid the reality that his people are dying and that dumb fucking fascist doesn't care.
Yep, he understood perfectly that these childish aholes were trying to play games with lives (and a democracy) that he takes very seriously. He was very clear what he meant, imo. The very personification of a weary sigh.
The juxtaposition of a president sacrificing everything next to a president who wouldn’t even consider sacrificing anything is bizarre. None of this should be happening.

“you don’t have the cards right now”
“i’m not playing cards”
Pedantic in this instance? Funny as hell.
