I hadn't turned my radio on in years..all political podcasts all the time, well no more. Find that classic rock station in your town and 💥 it's 19 eighty frigging 9 again! Tune in and tune out!
The replies and responses to this mundane post are EXACTLY what we need on this platform. Love. Hope. Connection. White guys with some funk. I really appreciate the connection 🎼 🖤
Do you find yourself already thinking of things like this with the poignant nostalgia of The Before Times? That’s been hitting a lot for me lately *sigh* Not trying to be a downer; it just is what it is. Thanks for reminding me of a great track and happier days. Love Boz Scaggs 💕
The ending solo is fantastic. Such a great sequence of notes at the top of it. The Hurting is still my favorite TFF album but they’re just so damn good. If you ever get a chance to see them live, do it
I saw them back in the day. I am an old school Nick Rhodes influenced synth guy. The richness of T4F arrangements and the way they voice them just grabs me. Plus the lyrics. Woman in chains, Mad World, Pale Shelter. Chefs kiss.
Nick Rhodes shaped my youth. I can’t believe we didn’t know each other when my band played live. I still have my original Roland Juno-60 and use it when we play. It’s almost 40 years old!
oh man, saw him live w/ the Eagles back in '76
fantastic show, as you may guess.
i foget how many times we called the eagles back, but the last times Boz & his guys came out with them & the Spectrum went effing wild. the lights went up & they jammed together
Driving in bad fog, Chris Rea, "on the beach", 5:03, blaring on radio. Heat turned up. Eyeing the pizza joint. But I will settle for, save $, doomsday is approaching. And fuck all maga.
Reminded of concert in Portland long ago; ZZTop, Boz Scaggs and Jimmy Cotton. First time I ever saw a guy playing lead guitar drop into the splits & bounce back up (ZZ). Crowd went wild. Encore was all three bands in a free jam. Amazing.
I heard detachable penis the other day which was both deeply nostalgic for me, as well as as intensely mortifying for my middle schooler twins. Win win.
I was working outside Sunday and Peace Train came on and I cranked it. I checked - it came out the year I was born. But I had a reaction to it and I wanted all of my Trump neighbors to have to listen. I had hope for the first time that week. (It soon passed).

Gorgeous enough to make an angel's heart run wild...
Apologies for butting in here. 😃
St. Ronny fucked it up.
Dad, you were right …
Last Saturday I heard Bobby on the radio and felt the same.
Good for the soul. ❤️
