My SNES is how I learned that plastic changed color as it aged/from sunlight, as it sure got that yellowed hue over the years. It was most certainly well loved!
Some games I like to keep sealed because I like how they look shiny and new. Others I enjoy playing too much to not open.
As for remakes as long as the people working on it care and giving enough time then something truly great can be made.
Remind me that one guy who would always say you shouldn’t remake a classic video game the original creator should be involved in making the sequel.
I disagree with both of these views.
I remember when people started framing things like controllers and as much as I'd like to display them, framing it just felt wrong. Old controllers and handhelds need to be held to be appreciated. The balance, the feel is all part of their charm
They mostly went to good homes and that's what they should be for.
Still have a twinge of regret selling them but it was for the best really
