even though the protein itself is not conserved, I wonder if the underlying asymmetry in the cilia that lets it know which one to go to may still be there.
I will be surprised if this protein even localizes at cilia in C. elegans given evolutionary distance, but if you are happy to spend some money to do gene synthesis (~1.5kb), I will send you its sequence information.
