Oh my GOD. This is the most obnoxious, solipsistic trend! And whenever you point out to someone that backing in is silly they get aggressively defensive "IT'S EASIER" but 1) No it isn't, and 2) it isn't easier for the rest of us!

Fyi its safer to back in. You're far less likely to find someone standing inside the parking spot than it is for them to be walking past as you reverse out. Especially important given the love of big stonking cars that are far more dangerous to pedestrians
