Important to have many rubber bands, so that when the first couple you find crack and break into leathery sections, you can pat yourself on the back knowing you saved more in the drawer.
Mine has multitudes of paper scraps with various incomprehensible messages written on them that I have no clue about what they mean, but I might need them some day.
Points for the Felcos. But Ill bet a quarter that HF flashlight is dead. They work well at first then die. And I have never been able to change batteries and have them work.
My (former) garage is full of such things, some inherited from my father-in-law. I'm certain I'll find a use for them, or worse, shortly after I've thrown them away, I'll find I needed them. (The garage is quite full)
My wife has almost a full woodyard in our garage. After moving it all to our new house 5 years ago, we finally used two pieces. It's a great feeling. 😁
I was able to use most of my “I’m going to need it someday” wood converting a shed to a winter goat house. Made them several platforms to jump around & sleep on. They are warm and cozy at night in their new house.
LMAO, once you've worked in any of the trades it's just too hard to toss out any piece of wire, copper, wood, hardware or tools! I can't tell you how many times I just needed 4" piece of 1/2" copper & had it in my bucket, no need to buy a 20 footer
🤣
My husband has pieces of wood we have had through four moves and across three counties. Some of them date to 1988 when condos were being built by our apartment and the workers threw them away. He will use them, I’m sure, when the project is right.
A hearty congratulations! It only cost you $2,324.56 in physical and psychological space to hold onto it. But finding a use for it 17 years later? priceless
I was cleaning out my garage and going to throw away my large piece of wood I was saving for...not sure. Saw neighbor and asked if they could use it. He was working on redoing his bath and trying to find something in his garage, and failing, that was exactly like my piece of wood. Win win.
This is big news. I have tasked myself with giving away half of my "stuff" that I haven't used in 5 years. My tool boxes are down to a tool box. And still going.
My dad was a keeper of things. Not a hoarder, but a keeper. He was also a master at turning those things into useful items or repair parts. I am also a keeper and find uses for the little things I keep. My husband is amazed by the things I come up with. Reduce, reuse, recycle.

C’mon…😉
Never seen one before.
No not that one. The other one.
No not that one. The other one.
No not that one. The other one.
Thanks!
🤣
Thank you.
OK, you have to pace yourself now ...
Is it time to drink them yet?
Okay, curious...or nosey...What did you use the wood for?
I will need that stuff one day!!!!!
Take that all you naysayers.
Sure I’ll need it next Wednesday at precisely 4:17
It's not hoarding. It's planning.
