For those who have recently recovered from COVID and are due for a booster, the latest advice is to have the booster as soon as your symptoms have resolved.

You can be very unlucky, and catch another dose within one month of the first - although it is unusual. Having a booster relatively quickly after you have recovered gives you hybrid immunity, which is even stronger than the immunity you receive from an infection.
I wasn't aware that a booster is available already. The latest vaccine from October was a brand new vaccine, tailored to the latest strain. -E

Hi Miranda. The first two doses you received are called the primary series. After that, you have received booster shots. For people whose immune system is very weak, they sometimes receive 3 doses in their primary series.
Sorry about your memory problems! The current vaccine based on the XBB.1.5 variant was first available in Australia almost exactly one year ago. The new vaccine based on JN.1 should be in the pharmacies or at your GP some time next week.
Thanks for the heads up. Is this the TGA’s advice or other?
I had my (so far only) case of Covid last February about three weeks shy of my next planned booster. I waited the advised 6 months for my next booster, which I have since had. 1/2

Hi, do you have a link for that?
I'm sure it's right BTW. But I am genuinely curious as to *who* has made that recommendation, and why (now).
