I remember years ago needing a procedure that would end my ability to have children. My dr. required my husband be part of the decision. This is what happens when men are thinking they should decide what happens to a woman’s body. It goes well beyond abortion.

Agree. I read the other day that the FDA has removed it's clinical guidance for medical trials to be representative regarding sex, race and ethnicity. Presumably this has come from Trump's new crackdown on inclusion and diversity. So we are back to research on white men only, sod the rest of us 😡

This literally happens every day. I had a friend in the US with endometriosis who was single and was denied a hysterectomy because she might get married someday and that man may want kids. So an imaginary hypothetical man had more rights to her body than she did.

Trans people are mostly not getting hysterectomies. If my friend was trans, they'd probably not be seeing a closed-minded, patriarchal doctor who didn't believe in choices, so this feels like a non-issue. Doctors like that won't treat trans people.

I was so fertile birth control pills failed, multiple times.
I have three children, that I carried to term.
I had five (confirmed) miscarriages, one at five months gestation.
I was raped three times, and terminated the pregnancy that resulted from one of them.
When there was a choice, it was mine.
