Ableism is abuse. Once you understand that, you can start to do the work to repair relationships with the disabled people in your life you have harmed.

Yes, of course! All ableism is abuse and it harms disabled people in one's life, even if coming from a disabled person (maybe even especially if it's a fellow disabled person).

Lots of people seem to think I was only talking to abled people in this post. Nope. ALL ableism is abuse, and that includes ableism perpetrated by disabled people, which happens *a lot* and harms the disabled people in their lives, too. I do not carve out any exceptions. Everyone can be ableist!
Please do not, as one person already did, respond to this post by policing my VERY intentional use of identity-first language. If you do not know what identity-first language is, go read up on it. But do not tell disabled people how to refer to ourselves.
If you need to parse the phrasing as "person with a disability" to be reminded that I am a person because you think there is something bad or wrong or broken about the word "disabled," that is your problem, not mine.
