Honest question - are there every contract jobs for these sorts of tasks? I do not live in New York, but I know I could do some of this work remotely.

Some publishers might hire fully remote positions? But many do require at least a little in-office, I think. (And most are probably hourly/salary employee positions, rather than freelance/contract)

Yes, but I don't think there are any in Virginia where I live. I'd love to put my extensive experience in #kidlit to work in publishing...just trying to find a way in.
