While this is welcome news, it’s likely to put some tenants at greater risk with stricter checks even before signing a tenancy. I recently read that in the US, AI tenant checks are being used, with letting agencies hide behind the AI decisions, when they set the parameters (are the gatekeepers)

Some agents demand u make a minium amount in wages... So penalising disabled etc who may not make enough but can still pay rent.
