Vinfast spent a lot of money trying to get a US factory online here in NC to build a small affordable EV and ran short on funding before they could get any sold, delaying everything at least 3 years.

Yes. Somebody needs to get off their collective industry ass and make smaller, practicality-first, *versatile* electric vehicle configurations. Electric Honda hatchback (Fit?!). Electric non-gumdrop-ified Scion XB. Electric pickup truck with 1997 Toyota SR5 Xtracab (NOT double cab) proportions.

Leaf doesn't work for you? I know the range is limited but there is a nice amount of space with the rear seats down.
