The 28th of December 1895 is generally accepted as the birth of cinema. In a celebration of the art-form I'm watching its greatest achievement, 1976's Never Too Young to Rock.

Ha ha! I saw at the Orient in Ayr in 1976. It was "supporting" a re-release of Yellow Submarine which was what I wanted to see. It is branded in my traumatised brain, never to be forgotten, and not all my memories of it are unfond.
I'm very fond of it. It's just so cynically made. Yellow Submarine's 50th anniversary screening at the BFI however is probably my most treasured film screening. Shear joy!
