Beef tenderloin, garlic mashed, honeyed carrots, broccoli w/lemon & olive oil vinaigrette … gonna be a busy day, Republican relatives coming over … the wine will be readily available … Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄😆
I'm doing a Dearborn ham (it's gluten free for my celiac babies) deviled egg potato salad, glazed carrots, baked beans, and lemon loaf. My mom is bringing some pineapple thingie. How about you?
I was dreaming about making a prime rib roast, but too expensive. We are having ham, green beans, mac and cheese and rolls. And most important, cheesecake
We don’t do the traditional sit down Christmas dinner. It’s exhausting. We have crab, cheese and cracker plates sliced meats and salads and all the things anyone wants to bring. We have food out all day for when friends and relatives drop by. Mom/Grandma wants to play with her toys too.
Feast of The Seven Fishes tonight and tomorrow Hot crab dip, ham biscuits, sausage balls, charcuterie board, Veggie plater, relish tray, and shrimp cocktail.
I may not even cook. My kid is working until early evening, and we've done nothing for Christmas this year except put up outside lights. We're all uninspired. Fine - but uninspired.
Apricot-Dijon pork chops, super-greens salad, and a big sheet pan of roasted veg (sweet potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, gold beets, parsnips, rutabaga), plus Mom's making ambrosia fruit salad.
I have such fond memories of going to my maternal grandfather‘s house and going in the pantry where he kept the bottles of 7-Up. He is where I got my love of 7-Up. I wish they still did the bottles with the deposit. It seemed like the most practicaland environmentally conscious way to do it.
On Christmas Eve we will make beef tenderloin (Ina Garten’s recipe), potatoes au gratin, prosciutto wrapped asparagus and pear and blue cheese salad. It’s a tradition.
Big, big brunch on Christmas, games and leftovers the rest of the day.
Tonight chicken fingers and fries for the kids and a million finger foods for adults. Tomorrow #2 son and girlfriend coming for a full hot breakfast. Just me and hubby for dinner all kids are at the in-laws this year. Maybe steak or if I can find an open place, Chinese food.
