The sad irony among Democrats who worry about "shutting down the government" is that the Trump-DOGE-Project 2025-rabid MAGAism is already shutting down the government. Either way, the authoritarians are going to keep shutting down the government. Democrats would be fools to "join" this process.

I will not defend Sinema. She was awful. I do not even really defend Joe. I will, however, give him some benefit of the doubt that he believed some of it. The problem with attacking Joe at the time, is you were never going to get anyone better in that position, and now we lost what we had.
