That was not a criminal case, but a civil one in which an injunction was requested and denied. And it was based on Pennsylvania law -- not Wisconsin law.

What matters is the INDUCEMENT. Its irrelevant whether the bribe is paid. The statute prohibits "offers" and "promises to pay".
Just because you don't think Musk's bribe is credible doesn't mean that all Wisconsin voters feel the same way.

Its a Class I felony, which means up to 3.5 years in prison, and a fine of up to $10K.
IMHO, Kaul should arrest him, and tell the judge "no bail. His wealth makes him a severe flight risk"
Statehouses should be rapidly moving to bar this. If the left did it, every red state would've after the first time it worked.
