Jesus never forced himself on anyone. He knocked on the door, and if not welcome, left. They need to stop thinking that Christ is in their employ. He is not.Christ what's us to Love and care for one another, that's it. "No "except for", no lists of those who do not conform to their religion. "Enough."
It's a feature, not a bug. Republicans like stupid voters. Once people begin to understand much of anything the become much more difficult to manipulate.
So glad this clown is more concerned about educating kids on his shitty religion rather than useless things they'll never need in life... like proper grammar. 🙄
In a country where your christofascist president dissolves the department of education, test scores no longer determine which states and districts receive federal funding. This new dictator will probably send funds to the most Christian states, the ones who boo the most Trump bibles.
Republicans have nothing but contempt for public education, teachers, and anyone who can't afford expensive private schools. They are beholden to Betsey DeVos & other rich elites who funnel millions into destroying public school instead of fixing poverty, the main driver of underachieving schools.
You need laws on a federal level; laws that are in line with the constitution. Like keeping church and state separated. Sure, teach religion but not only christianity, kids need to learn about Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and the other major religions too to understand the world better.
They don't want kids to understand the world better, they want them to "fucking get to back to work, do what your betters say, and not bitch about not getting paid."
Have you been to Utah? There is a Mormon seminary right next to almost every single Jr & High school here. They’ve got indoctrination down to a science only they don’t believe in science for the most part.
No separation of church and hate I mean state.
I've only seen and read about Utah and from what I've learned I'd probably end up on a pile of sticks with a few torches before I got out of there. Poor children
I'm greatful to be born in a country where religion isn't a big deal and a private matter, not something you wave in people's faces!
That’s what the GOP does…they break it and then shout “see? It’s broken!” I’m proud to say I’m a product of public K-12 education and land grant college graduate (Ohio State University).
I attended Catholic School in the 60's. It was a very good education. We were taught to respect others. Not lie or cheat.
Transferred to public school for 8th grade after moving. Thought it weird that I had to correct the science teacher who tried to use "pollen" as euphemism for "sperm".
Kansas once had some of the best public schools in the country, until Brownback decided to run them into the ground by handing as much state money as possible over to the richest people in the state.
Sounds like their mission is nearly accomplished. Republicans know they can only win with uneducated voters. Their forty years of gutting education is paying off big time
Well I don’t think that’s right. Because I’ve lived here that entire time and I don’t think we were ranked 7th. Oklahoma is notoriously 40th or lower in education funding since 2000s.
Oklahoma is supposedly buyin thousands of Trump bibles, just like Trump is going to ban wine, except for Trump Wine. Because it's the only one he approves of. THis is going to be a sucky four years of Trumptyranny.
Oh, but they got Jesus. Praise the Lord,
''Hallelujah". They also have their overpriced Chinese Bibles, and will have droughts and plagues of biblical proportions, ignoring science.
I'm not religious, but I've always respected anyone's faith if it helps them. When people begin to force it on us, breaking every bit of what the religion stands for in the process, I lose any respect and start getting angry
Guessing he doesn't give a shit about other religions since the only one this pricks accept is Christ. As a Jew, we preceeded Christianity by 4000 years, so he can take his fucking bible and use it for kindling to roast some delish pork ribs.
By promoting ignorance, the Party instills fear in the population, making them hesitant to challenge authority, thus solidifying their obedience. Welcome to 1984.
The undereducated are more easily manipulated into believing conservative ideals. Add in churches who don’t teach accurately about Jesus and FoxNews and we get a perfect storm.

Signed, an Oklahoman

They don't want smart people.
The republicans have destroyed the public schools in Oklahoma, so they can get Oklahomans on board with school vouchers/privatization of schools.
Rural people don’t know it will kill their schools.

This is why we need textbooks, not Bibles.
GOP doesn't win elections with educated voters🤷♂️
D'Oh!
What a disaster 😒
So nice to see you here, too.
They are aiming for 50th, I think.

You can do it, Ok!
Doesn't matter to me, Oklahoma was never on my bucket list to visit.
(....except when it does)
