I retired in 2017. That wasn't the plan. I returned to school for another degree and wanted to start a new career. The universe had other plans. I earned that degree in Dec 2019. 2020 happened, and then life got in the way. And now? My brain just wouldn't be able to take it with everything going on.

More DoD civilian layoffs today, and still no one is reporting on them! Someone I know says almost all of their coworkers have been let go, and people are talking about layoffs on other military installations on Reddit. Rumor is there is a huge drop coming tomorrow afternoon.

I used to knit, not very well, but I could manage scarves and hats, but my brain since Jan 6 just can't handle it. Yesterday, my daughter and I started watching videos to learn how to crochet, and I can finally do it! My previous attempt was not successful. Now, I will try to doomscroll less.
