Muskrats are cute wetland mammals that build burrows in the banks of ponds and streams. They have webbed hind feet for swimming and can stay under water for over 10 minutes. π¦

There's a small pond at a local park near me where they're always active. I even saw a young one swimming around last spring. I'd never seen one so small before.
I live by a pond & do see them swimming around, they are interesting little creatures, well adapted for Canadian winters. Often mistaken as rats, kinda of see the resemblance π
