B/c we work in a Bizarro culture, w/ tremendous pressures, relentless reminders of our shortcomings, & expectations to excel at *everything* (research, teaching, service, family...)
Let's all try to take our foot off the gas a bit as we approach the holiday season.
As I said to a class of grad students yesterday: Try to return to something (an activity? a relationship?) that is very much "you" but you've been neglecting this term.

Very relevant to academia.
Sometimes quitting is the right answer, for sure.
But often we're simply TIRED.
