Ok I’m still annoyed about this. Someone said today that suggesting people to learn to garden is “privileged,” and while sure, having space, time, and money to grow food is definitely not a gimme, getting even a fraction of your food consumption away our current systems is anti-authoritarian, imo.

Plus, it sure is privileged of them to call you out for skeets when there are people in the world stuck in comas and are unable to post on the Internet.
Thanks for the reminder to start a garden though. I have severe food allergies—
There's a lot of value there from a solidarity / community-building perspective even aside from food production.

That's what they don't want us to do. Work together.
Suggesting that ALL people Should garden is privileged on a number of different axes. And that's what ppl do a lot of the time with these things. And why poor and disabled ppl get cranky about it.
I increased the amount I grow many fold when we had to stay home in the pandemic Now I have better tomato than the local store, for chilli, garlic, ginger, celery, raddiah, potato, and onion
Many people here grow their own, as food costs here skyrocket
We had a very wet ei ter though, and they don't get harsh sun
Those in the heat aren't as happy
