This is a shift in name only. This was Bibi's plan all along. I'm sure he was genuinely horrified and infuriated by the sheer brutality of the Hamas attack, but his own intel agencies more or less saw it coming. I think Bibi was hoping for an excuse to take over Gaza and wipe out the Palestinians.
