1. Residents knew something was wrong at this spot, and said they complained. But City claims no 311 tickets in last 5 years and ward office says no issues ever raised to them.
Why the misalignment? How could the City and Ward office not hear from residents?

Using 311 as a crowdsourcing tool for determining priorities, particularly when it comes to safety is absurd. Do people in Pineridge understand that’s how it works when they say they’ve complained for years?

I can understand 311 as a way of accessing services immediately, but yeah, a bit insulting to residents who have to put up with road hazards that can and have killed them that they need to fill out a form and then get someone else to fill out a form, etc., etc.

2. Area councillor Andre Chabot says he’ll look into how the city can make this intersection safer… yet should already know this intersection is planned for 5A Network improvements. This would narrow the street and promote slower driving speeds but no mention of it.

Here’s another… Rundlehorn Dr is 30 km/h leading to this intersection, but strangly jumps to 50km/h with one lot-length (120ft) before the stop sign?
Why?
So drivers can accelerate to 50 before they stop in 120 ft? This is absurd.🤦‍♂️

Interesting statement. I wonder how he would have voted had he been on council in 2021 when the 40km speed limit was passed. Should he have voted with Chu, Demong, Parkas and Maglioca against it? From what I have seen he often votes with the existing block of conservative councilors

4. Papp, resident who lives on corner, estimates 80 per cent of vehicles don’t come to a full stop at the intersection….

I’m guessing it’s worse as any recent study in Canada shows nobody stops at stop signs unless forced to do so by other cars.

Speed is always a factor when drivers strike and kill people with their vehicles.
