All in all a pretty quiet ride in. Definitely some ice patches, but really only bad on side roads. Construction work happening on the City Hall +15 bridge obstructing the sidewalk and it doesn’t look like my 311 request to clear the bike-designated road in front of O Plaza was ever actioned #yycbike

My bike tops out at 30 kph, the speed limit in a playground/school zone… no, dude in Jeep, I’m a gonna take the lane, thanks. Really wish the city would make it a priority to narrow the lanes in front of schools. This was in front of Ramsay #yycbike

Took the scenic route up from Chinook Mall. Stanley Park is, as usual, a chinook-melted mess. For such a popular park, it’s a real shame at how shabby those pathways are (ice, water pooling, potholes). On the plus side, 2 St SW cycle path in really good shape with most of the melt finished #yycbike

If your argument is "sure, a terrible modern event has a parallel in the 1920s and 30s but don't worry we turned out just fine", might I suggest reading about the 1940s.
