Is public transit, walking or biking so bad that students must drive to Mount Royal university?

Car ownership/insurance/gasoline/maintenance/parking .... how is that the most cost effective way to get to classes?

It may not be cost effective, but once you’ve committed to car ownership as your means of transportation, I think it’s very difficult to see/justify other options. Or so I’ve been told. 🤷‍♂️

I'm guessing it looks more like this:

- Going to Uni is expensive
- Living at home is far away but cheap
- Bus to Uni is +1.5hr, car is 0.5hr
- Money saved living at home helps pay for car/ins/fuel
- Owning car is costly so part-time job to pay the rest
- I'm so invested in car, must always drive
