Yea. Many people don't realise how noisy their cars are as they're insulated and isolated from it.

I’m so thankful that everywhere I’ve lived (roughly in a square mile) has been so quiet I’m more likely to be woken by birdsong than anything else.

I noticed the difference when I moved from the edge of a small quiet village into a town again. Towns are so noisy.
