18-year-old Jude on laws banning gender-affirming care:
"On the more extreme end, for a lot of kids it's the possibility of severe mental-health struggles and suicidal ideation - but I also think on a smaller scale, kids, because they cannot be themselves, would rather choose to not be anyone."

Sadly, this lack of emotional acknowledgement, this denial of authentic existence is the same emotional trauma experienced by conservative cis white men.
They told us to die
We chose to live
"I sued, because I'm cool like that..."
Awesome kids, I hope the best for them.
Its not really living.
i didnt have any passions or interests other than playing games and it took til my 20s when I’d transitioned to realize I’d always wanted more out of life and never realized. Because it’s hard to think about that when you’re living a lie
because i couldnt be who i was i didnt know who or even how to be growing up. so then i ended up not being anyone. the longer you have to feel that way the longer it takes to undo the damage after you finally make the space to be yourself.
it took me 8ish years. :/
you get trapped in a mindset that who you are is unacceptable and its really hard to break out of it even after you decide you are going to be yourself after all.
society is so fucking broken and they hate trans people because we expose the worst ways in which its designed to torture the life and humanity out of the most vulnerable among us.
And I never lived a day before I did.
I chose not to live a life.
I can’t let that happen to someone else. This life is too beautiful to not live it.
