The way to do it (and how trump does it), is figuring out how to get these pivotal voters to COME TO THEM.

They have no coherent views, so get some strong, decisive views and tell these people to have those views too! They are wishy-washy enough to be moved.

I find it infuriating that Democratic leadership seems incapable of grasping this. They seem to genuinely believe that the American electorate has fully formed opinions on every topic, which politicians and public figures cannot alter, but can only try to align themselves with.
