Love that silky, satiny feel of the water flowing.
In my early days studying photography, had a great admiration of the early Victorian landscapes, with the same water quality as your shot here. Nice work 👍
Hi 👋🏾
Is it okay if I repost your work?
I enjoy it and would love to share with friends and family.
I figured I should ask before reposting, it is after all your artworks. Thank you.
Love the tones in this. Feels very tranquil. Nice capture. I really must seek out some waterfalls. I've photographed a few but it was mostly during walks when I had company and couldn't really spend the time I'd have liked there. :-)
Thanks! To take a long exposure shot, set the shutter speed to a slow setting, such as 1 second or longer, depending on the effect you want. Use a low ISO, like 100, and use a ND filter!
I took this yesterday, with an a330 sony camera, i didn't use the tripod, so if i had, would it have had the same effect as your photo? Where I live, it is always gloomy and white light over all.
When I had my first SLR and would B&W photos because I had access to the DR of friend's father I had so many of such long exposures. I lost many of those in the 1880s. Wonderful!
Opps - 1980s. It was a Minolta XD-11 it was the last present I had from my father. He died of an aneurysm on my high prom weekend. That SLR traveled with me to the former Soviet Union and across Canada by bicycle. Find some of my pics of that trip here: https://uamuzik.blogspot.com/2021/07/rainy-lake-to-kakabeka-falls-35-years.html
Thank you Connor. I wish I had the time so scan many memories. Though also at some point my mother collected post cards. Somehow she traded all boxes of postcards to someone for an incredible album of postcards, a family record of travels, from the late 1880s to the WWI period.

Here's local falls Reekie Linn, Angus: 15 tons a second!
Here's Falling Foss, Thomason Foss and Mallyan Spout on the North Yorkshire Moors all within 20 miles of where I live.
