I find this very moving: a 10-year-old Ukrainian boy who moved to the West of Ireland 2 years ago as a refugee, speaking in Irish of his love of playing Irish music

I loved hearing the range of accents on those sworn in as new Irish citizens recently, most marked for people learning English for the first time as adults - Mayo, Cyavan and Kerry among them.

One of the great things about moving to Ireland is the way music is an "in" for kids (all three of mine have had a go, and two have really stuck with it). Hearing him play the Kerry Polka has me in floods.

ah, that is brilliant! I've heard the same about gaelic games as a terrific integration engine, but feel that not all kids are sporty and, with the best will in the world, it's still heavily male-oriented and supported. That's just wonderful about your kids. Music is universal!
