Timeline Break: I’m looking forward to spring so I can do one of my favorite things; take my kids out in nature with nothing but themselves, and watch them fill their time with curiosity and imagination.

Being out in nature is so calming! It can be so peaceful and relaxing. It definitely helps to forget about everything going on in the world today. Have fun!
We live on a small piece of land in the Sierra foothills. We have 6 grandchildren who love coming here to climb trees, throw rocks & poke stuff with sticks. They are what restores me & keeps me somewhat sane. Listening to their sweet voices as they head into the forest for fun & games is heavenly.
You can also find incredible wonder in the winter time as well. We see a lot of wildlife out searching for food on our winter hikes. Along rivers and lakes Bald Eagles perch looking for food here in NE OH, we saw 3 the other day.
There is nothing like communing with nature. Living up against the rockies lends itself to many adventures, and self reflection. My children come back to the mtns every year. For me it is renewal.

Use a walking stick in the woods, always.
