Pinning our hopes on an election is a failure of imagination. In a dictatorship, any elections are 100% fake…
#BePrepared
By a solid leftward shift
Just because the other candidate, who would have given them everything on that list, was a Black lady.
Same for 4
Is the consensus still pro abortion / choice
"Affordable healthcare" is an indication of a severely sick society.
THAT is the single most important question to be answered by non-MAGAt investigators and courts.
2. Economy/inflation
3. Saving Medicaid, Medicare & SS
4. Protesting wars/genicide
5. Saving immigrates & us citizens from being disappeared
6. Electing Progressive Dems
It’s what Dems always do.
And why Dems always lose.
Listen to Lincoln: “nothing more important than SHAPING public sentiment”.
I wouldn’t give a dime to a candidate who used “strategists”
98% of all decisions we make in life are “emotional”, and we rationalize it in 0.76 micro secs.
I love you Jack, but this is very bad advice.
In fact, the rationalization process is ongoing and in constant flux: which is why, as human beings, we can…and do…change our minds, using new and updated rationalizations from those we used previously.
Emotion’s Role: Despite societal emphasis on rationality, emotions significantly influence decision-making, a fact supported by Shiv’s research showing only 5 to 10% of decisions are made rationally.
Regarding the last election, and current polling, those issue are those I have listed. 1/3
And AT BEST that is what polling measures. Not useful to determine how to get voters to choose a candidate or a soft drink or car
Hence, a totally diff approach to cmpgn is required.
Hint: much of what Repubs do (but lying not necessary)
Coordinated organized REPETITIVE
“…public sentiment is everything. With it, nothing can fail; against it, nothing can succeed. Whoever molds public sentiment goes deeper than he who enacts statutes, or pronounces judicial decisions.
Abraham Lincoln
Molding public sentiment (notice, btw, he didn’t say “opinion”)
It is “things go better w Coke” vs “the Pepsi Generation”, “the Marlboro man” (who won a landslide after getting 200+ marines slaughtered at the Beirut airport).
I was closely plugged into Kerry cmpgn. In Sept 2004, I called the CM to ask her when ads would appear
A Repub would have molded public sentiment to make ppl exact punishment
Biden really should’ve done a border deal in his first two years. By not doing one, he gave the right wing ammunition for the presidential election. Even though he tried to do one in his 4th yr
I would add this: anti-fascist messaging can energize a base, most voters—especially independents and swing voters—tend to prioritize immediate, personal concerns like the economy…healthcare…etc.
Winning primaries with strong moral stands is one thing—winning general elections requires a broader coalition.
Emotion wins attention; emotion combined with solutions win elections.

The majority of Republican votes come from bigotry....both religious and / or racial bigotry.
It's the elephant in the room you can't "message" against.
Failure of our leadership to understand is why messaging has been so ineffective.
?!?!
What am I missing?
We have to ask “What are the WINNING issues?” and many of them are not what we’ve been running on or forming communication strategies around.
People are stretched to the limit and are losing it left and right (pun intended).
We have to start focusing on Maslow's hierarchy of needs and focus only at the bottom.
We should run to win elections. Once we have control, we can address those issues. We can’t get to cart in front of the horse…like we have been doing.
Dems are obsessed with the polls and don't appear to stand for anything but whatever this week's polls say.
Of course they also offered no vision for either of the top 2 issues in this post last time either.
Stuck between the donors and the people.
Given the number of one-issue voters out there, I’m surprised abortion isn’t #1, guns #2, Jesus #3.

To do anything for any issue, we have to WIN elections. Winning the elections must be the priority. If that doesn’t happen…nothing else happens.
Trump will blame Powell.
—Benjamin Franklin
You can't fight that with an illiterate electorate
The USA needs a THIRD political party.
Progressive.
Made up of Bernie/AOC/Crockett et al.
The 🍊 💩 and other Republicans are trying to hand the election to them on a silver platter - they are massively failing at every one of those issues
They have to take back the microphone and soon. Following Trump around endlessly is not helping.
They know the rest but won’t right bills because they don’t have the votes. Lazy! Put the bill for a vote weekly and shame the GOP for voting no!
Like it’s an afterthought similar to warning (I kid you not) number 14 on a hair dryer-do not use in the bath…
Too many think the economy sucked under Joe.
Compared to the rest of the world, we had the BEST post COVID economy in the world.
