It blew my mind when I found out this was a facet of metalcore.
I really strongly recommend it. Unbelievable album
Really ferocious, heavy stuff

Before I knew that it was considered metalcore, the best genre term I could conjure on my own for that album was "blackened sludge" with post-metal mixed in at points.
Nothing hits for me quite like Crimson Corridor does
I do not hear Caliban included enough in contention when it comes to Metalcore greats.
1. I like it.
2. I don't like it.
3. I'm not sure about this, I'll listen again a few more times and feel it out.
4. Holy fucking shit, this made those little hairs stand on end and/or I cried.
I hate this so much, I hope that whomever made this dies from farting too hard.
I don't have a tonne of metalcore recommendations apart from Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, Ice Nine Kills, Killswitch Engage and Butcher Babies.
Either there album The Oncoming Storm or this from a few years back

Currents (more modern sound), Broken Vow (metallic hardcore), Serration (a bit more chaotic), Violent Life Violent Death (like old Zao but bleak), Chamber (mathy goodness), and the Embody the Chaos discography (just a fierce collection).
No Cure’s upcoming EP—first two songs out are so damn good.
xEdenisgonex: blackened metalcore.
I got lots more, hahaha, but something in all that will hopefully connect.
I would HIGHLY recommend…
Earth Crisis - Destroy the Machines
Cave In - Until your heart stops
All that remains - The fall of idols
Parkway Drive - Atlas
Admiral Angry - Buster.
The vocals are hard work…. But the music. It’s like Metalcore does Sludge, and it FUUUUUUUCKS.
